How do I know if Oxlade Financial is right for me?

The best thing to do here is to contact us. We invite prospective clients to have an initial call or meeting with one of our Financial Advisers. This will be a great opportunity for you to understand how we can help and who we are, and will ultimately help you decide if we are the right fit for you. There’s no obligation or cost for doing so. If this is of interest, please Contact Us and our team will point you in the right direction.

What is the benefit of using an Independent Financial Adviser?

Oxlade Financial is one of the few truly independent financial planning practices in Australia. Being an independent organisation ensures the following benefits for our clients:

  • We can deliver unbiased and transparent advice
  • We have no in-house products – there is freedom to pick and choose whatever is in the best interests of our client
  • We work on a purely fee for service model – we receive no commissions, and our fees don’t get impacted by the choice of product our clients use
  • We answer only to our clients – we review every opportunity for each client thoroughly, and make recommendations based solely on the needs and objectives of the client

The vast majority of financial advisers are affiliated with large banks or institutions, have in-house products, and receive commissions for recommending these products. Our independence is part of who we are, and gives our clients an additional layer of confidence that we are acting in their best interests

Is there any obligation or cost to have an initial meeting with an Adviser?

No. Before deciding to work together, we need to ensure that we can add value to a client, and the client need to be sure that we can meet their financial planning requirements. For this reason, there is no cost or obligation for your initial call or meeting with our Advisers.

How much do you charge for financial advice?

Ultimately, financial advice needs to represent an investment, not a cost. We charge our clients an annual fee for providing them with financial advice. That fee is determined based on the work required to achieve your financial goals and manage your affairs.

After getting an understanding of your situation and needs, we will provide you with a proposal, which will include your fee. At that stage, you will be able to weigh up the fee in light of the value upside, and decide whether it is right for you. Ultimately though, we will only ever work with clients when we are certain that we can provide more value than we charge, ensuring that our financial advice represents a great investment/upside, rather than a cost.
